The Speaker’s Chair

The Speaker’s chair is intricately carved; wrought from teak wood and is artfully engraved with the heads of two jaguars on either arm. On the back is a prominent scale and weight – the eternal symbol of justice and fairness. The Star of India with the words “Heaven’s Light Our Guide” is inscribed around the star at the top of the chair.
